Pasadena Fatal Accident: One Dead, Three Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on Beltway 8 in Pasadena

A deadly two-vehicle crash along Beltway 8 in Pasadena is under investigation after one person was killed and three others were injured Sunday afternoon, according to the Pasadena Police Department.

Authorities said the crash occurred around 3:11 p.m. near Pasadena Boulevard and the Beltway 8 service road. Emergency responders arrived quickly at the scene and found multiple victims involved in the collision.

Police confirmed that four people were inside the two vehicles at the time of the crash. One individual was pronounced dead at the scene due to injuries sustained in the impact. The remaining three victims were transported to nearby hospitals for medical treatment. Their conditions have not yet been released.

Following the collision, officials shut down major portions of the roadway. The entire northbound side of the Beltway 8 service road at Pasadena Boulevard was closed, along with westbound traffic coming from Red Bluff Road. Drivers were urged to avoid the area and use alternate routes as significant delays were reported throughout the afternoon and evening.

Pasadena police said the crash scene remained active for an extended period as investigators worked to document evidence and determine the cause of the collision. The department’s Crash Team has taken over the investigation, and authorities have not yet released additional details regarding what may have led to the fatal impact.

Motorists traveling through the area were advised to expect continued congestion while the roadway remained closed for investigation and cleanup operations. Officials have not provided an estimated time for reopening.

Community members expressed concern as news of the fatal crash spread, with traffic disruptions impacting one of the area’s busy corridors.

At this time, the identity of the deceased has not been released pending notification of next of kin. The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities say additional updates will be shared as more information becomes available.

Pasadena police continue to urge drivers to exercise caution and remain alert while traveling through active construction and high-traffic zones.
